  Time sure sped by when one was as busy as the Warrior of Light, the distortions between when he had last seen the heir of Doma and now seeming small compared to reality. Upon catching sight of the familiar face of Hien, the elezen lit up. Smile tugged at his lips and he turned to face the other man.

  “It is good to see you again, Hien,” he comments, straightening up and bending at the waist in a respectful bow of greeting. As he straightened, a hand instinctively went to his hip as his body returned to its more natural slouch. “How have you been? I believe its been some time since we last spoke.”

“I hope you and you men are not exhausted from your travels my good friend. Please, I welcome you to my humble city. May she favor you as she does us.”

“I hurt because it feels good?” She echoes his statement quietly, a small frown on her face as she watches him. “Whatever you may think of me, LITTLE LORDLING, but I find very little joy in any manner of pain inflicted ‘pon me.” She’s learned to bear it, sometimes even with a smile. Although, perhaps...

Those soft white ears rose a little at the comment, one of them turning slightly towards the speaker before Maru turned darkened red eyes towards Hien. He rose slowly, wearily and managed a small smile for him as he reached a hand to take the Doman up on his offer.

"You might need to hold me on the way back," he replied softly, closing his hand around Hien's. "I'm still a little... unsteady..."

  The elezen was slouched over the old wooden table, nearly entirely sprawled on the thing. His head lifted to glance at Hien, too tired to express much beyond a tired frown. Again his head fell to the table with a light thump, a small groan uttered as he forced himself to sit up.

  “I can’t sleep very well nowadays. The quiet... It gives me time to think. Time I don’t want.” His brows then furrowed. “If sleep can get to me, all I experience are nightmares. I don’t know which is worse.”
