sorry if you've gotten this question before, but how do you keep up your inspiration and motivation to write and post so frequently on ao3? i struggle with posting very often, especially multi-chaptered fics with ongoing plot.
honestly, i wish it was up to me! fic ideas come into my brain and genuinely torture me if i dont write them down. excerpts from the same party started in my head at 6am this morning and i stayed at my computer until 1:00pm writing it. i couldn’t walk away from it or quiet it down.
as for how to find inspiration though, consuming other media always helps. as does going outside and living a life, generally, but i dont do that at all so i guess its not necessary. obviously conversations with friends about your favourite characters can be great sources of inspiration. i’ve actually been thinking i should compile a parentdale prompt blog for parentdale writers looking for inspo. a single image can also spark a whole fic.
motivation-wise, reviews go a long way!! the easiest way to get more content for the ships you like is to leave thick reviews with the people who write them.. if i get a review or even just informal feedback im 100% more likely to continue and keep writing. im also lucky enough to be in a group of people i can count on to read my fic and writing other peoples favourite pairings knowing theyre going to enjoy it is a seriously good motivator.
