Affiliation: Ciziten as a DOCTOR
Born on the tourist pulling island of Crete, Dominiki (preferably called Dominique) worked her hardest in a restaurant during her younger years, serving hungry tourists and local visitors who would often tip her for her services. Why? Because they knew of her dream to study at a university to get her doctorate. From a very young age, Dominiki was running around with a stethoscope and playing doctor whenever her mother or father were sick, taking their temperature and nursing them. Not because she felt like she had to, but because she wanted to. She always looked after the sick and she had done self research to know what people needed and not needed when they had the flu or when they had an allergic reaction. Soon her dreams came true, and Dominiki had all the money she needed to study for medicine. But she didn’t do it in Greece, instead she travelled all the way to Italy after having required a legit visa that allowed her to study for the length of her entire study.
Medicine school was a dream to her, and being one of the older students of twenty seven she felt like she had to prove herself even more, no matter how ridiculous it must’ve sound. She was the example of a perfect student. Getting straight A’s, having a job on the side and living in a neat apartment. Her life began to blossom even more when she met Rodrigo, an Italian soldier who, literally, swept her off her feet when she nearly slipped at the docks when boarding a cruise ship. The two headed off into a fairytale and with a diamond ring around her finger and a baby on the way, it felt like she had the world at her feet. However during her graduation her fairy tale ended in a horrendous way. Rodrigo was among the other guests that was in the audience when there was an attack. Her beloved Rodrigo didn’t make it.
A year later, all Dominiki had left was a baby boy, a doctorate, but no husband. She eventually had to quit working because she had to take care of her son. She was contacted by one of Rodrigo’s friends, who would pay her money if she would work for him. She was allowed to take her son with her to be protected and taken care of while she would help the Crusaders in their battle to save Rome and to save Italy. To avenge her Rodrigo’s death, she agreed.
Soft hearted is perhaps a little underrated. If she could, Dominiki would help and save everyone in her path. Ever since her motherhood, she became more emotional, and she wished that she could stop her emotions from getting the better of her. Ever since she joined the Crusaders however, she had to deal with a certain anger she had never truly experienced before. An anger that she still carries with her every day and might snap to someone because of it. She also partially claims it’s because of the stress, yet all she knows is that she wants to get rid of the emotions and be her older self again so she can be a good mother to Silas.
Trusts Silas with Calliope more than anyone else. She doesn’t want to waste time thinking about if it is a wise choice or not.
Has sessions with Fiona, hoping it might help her mood swings.
Roberto reminds her of Rodrigo sometimes. Both of them passionate about their cause while trying to hide the scars behind their mask.
Friends with Gabriella. Sometimes she’s jealous that she has a man standing besides her, but she knows that the woman deserved every bit of happiness, especially after learning about her coma.
Was asked on a date once before by Jordão, but she cancelled a few hours before. He understood, now they mostly talk via phone and texting.
