Even at his worst, Hangman has never even threatened to set a person on fire. He just burned down a building. But I can think of some people who have in AEW - and were cheered for it iirc. One of them is Eddie Kingston - and the other is Darby Allin, who actually went the whole hog of setting Jack Perry on fire a little bit in that one Anarchy in the Arena match.
Googling that reminded me that the Young Bucks and Perry tried to return the favour to Darby on another occasion, but I'm guessing they were heels for that one.
