Verse1:
What's in a name?
A question that we all face
We take pride
Try to dodge
Any disgrace
That can cause potential harm
Bring shame to our moms
Establish a legacy
Where only it can carry on
We teach our children to honor it
And that people'll do
One or two
Either Trash it daily or homage it
I know you get where I'm going
You too smart to be slow and
Incomprehensive of the picture
These lyrics are showing
The Spirit's grieved
By your lack of reverence
You say you only go this far
Like He's cool with your preference
Listen close to the lesson
dropping Gems
I am the Teach
Being taught by The Lesson
The Hebrew word of Kavana
Means concentration
So listen Nation
You can't call upon His name
Without the Recognation(Recognition)
Of His all consuming Glory
And Power He set before Ye
Forever Fearing The Name of
Elah Avahati
Verse2:
Check the vanity, insanity
Black heart of humanity
We lift our tongues to disrespect the King
Now tell me can it be?
Our speech is decreasing in reverence to God
Say His name in our curse words
And wait for thee applause?
Now pause...
The greatest name by which our God is known
Jesus
Never to be dethroned and He can't be
Never, it's clever
Can we get it together?
His name in all honor and beauty is tougher than leather
But really
Let me make it plain my people
Silly
To think a Holy God is your equal
It's not about the tone of your voice or particular words
It's when we flippantly call Him and we empty His worth
We shake our fist at His power and treat Him likes He's cheap
We say His name for no reason and say "it's not that deep!"
The Christ, the cross, and who He is and what He's done is great
It's heavier than we make it and we should celebrate
Wait
Love God, know God, see ya heart change
Cuz when you love somebody deeply it's no longer vain
