Just watched Off the Hook’s live performance, with the special guests Squid Sisters and, well holy balls it was good.

Straight up, Marina steals the whole show. Watching her play a key-tar, remixed versions of songs with her added disc scratching and her vocals during the extended Ebb & Flow were amazing. Seriously, her singing in Ebb & Flow puts everyone to shame - go watch it!

I always preferred Off the Hook’s dynamic over the Squid Sisters’. While I still love Callie and Marie, they do feel a bit safe and typical j-pop fare. Although thankfully they only performed two songs of their own, new ones mind you - Fresh Start and the remixed Calamari Inkantation - which were great. Off the Hook had four songs, all of which rocked my cock (can’t quite better describe how good they were).

The whole thing culminates, as you would expect, in both groups taking the stage together to perform. I was anticipating then having a whole new original song for this, but only because I couldn’t think what else they sing together. In the end they did Now or Never, a version which combined both groups’ splatfest mixes. A little messy but so much fun to see them all on stage together.

…oh! I guess that’s my review xD I thought would just say a couple things and that would be it - turned out to be a long ass post. I hope all you squids enjoyed this as much as I did!!!

Pearl: I know, I know... I'm just so excited I can't wait any longer for him to visit! But... I'll be patient. What do you want to do?
