I've had the same lead for my dog for 5 years. Got it from a local leather worker back in California. Still looks, feels, and functions nearly exactly the same as it did day one with a little maintenance here and there over the years. It wasn't even that expensive, and the resources available to learn about leather maintenance are one google search away.

What I'm saying is that girl you're pining over deserves good leather. Don't fucking cheap out on it. Don't order the first thing you see. I'm not by any means a leather person, but god just don't get her a shitty collar. It means something.
