So it's framed as a joke that Mac can "smell Wukong a mile away" but he literally does sniff him out in Emperor's Wrath

When they see the last crack, he makes little inhale noise and goes, "It's him."

And he was right XD

Macaque using shadow puppets to entertain the twins

Macaque was very excited, and set up a small nest for one of his biggest show ever.

Once he was ready he brought Lihua and Mingxiao into the makeshift theater room, and made sure they were settled in.

Then Macaque lowered the lights and turned of the Lantern to begin his story.

The twins while not very old were still reacting to all the little 'puppets' along with maybe some of the story.

The story was a simplified version of Wukongs early days, aka Pre Mountain.

Wukong watched from the back of the room, occasionally giving his husband a look at Macaque mentioning Wukong rolling down a hill and breaking a rock with his head. Among other things.

Some of it was recorded by the Shadow Twins to show MK and Red Son.
