with every single day that passes I am more and more convinced that I have literally never seen ANYTHING like this happen in the industry before in my lifetime. but also maybe like EVER.

my husband and best friend and I were talking last night and what we’re watching unfold in real time with hudson williams and connor storrie is the closest thing to an overnight sensation we’ve ever seen.

the concept of an ‘overnight sensation’ isn’t actually a thing cause everyone that ‘happens to’ has been putting in work to get to that point. like obviously both hudson and connor have been working on their craft for years and years now. they’ve been preparing themselves for an opportunity like heated rivalry to come around so that they’d hopefully be ready for it if it ever did, but the way this blew up in FIVE WEEKS and they were waiting tables eight months ago??!! they premiered this show like five weeks ago, had like 5,000 instagram followers, and now they have like at least a million.

they’ve been at industry events on opposite coasts (LA AND NYC) and EVERYONE, everywhere they go is scrambling to meet them. every single celebrity wants to introduce themselves. wants a selfie. connor being absolutely swarmed at the coco chanel event?! tessa thompson giving him specifically a shoutout in front of all those people, saying everyone wants to meet him?!

hudson had JIMMY FALLON DOWN ON ALL FOURS, GRINDING ON THE FLOOR ON NATIONAL LATE NIGHT TELEVISION. IN HIS DEBUT.

they’re being talked about on sports broadcasts, on the nye cnn broadcast, every celebrity on every red carpet are being asked about them and JUMPING to talk about the show.

every fashion designer on the planet is following them on instagram and will absolutely be fighting to dress them at the golden globes. and if they end up at the MET GALA?!! when no one knew who they were EIGHT MONTHS AGO?!
