How do you stretch your charity budget?

I can only donate a certain amount of money to organizations, no matter how deserving or in need many of them are.

I now limit myself to four specific charities - one to which I pay small amounts every month and three to which I donate over the holidays - with the option of a fifth if I feel I can afford it that month.
