My wife bought us a pair of oil changes the other day from a Groupon redeemable at any Nashville Area Jiffy Lube. When my wife took her car in she had a horrible experience. They were rude, short with her, and charged her for things after giving the impression they would be covered under the coupon. Then they told her that she should never mention she has a Groupon because that was a dirty word around this place. So my expectations low when taking my car in. I called ahead to make sure I didn't need an appointment and the man was super friendly and told me they got people in and out quick and that no appointment was necessary. When I arrived I was promptly greeted by the man that turned out to be the GM named Brian. He was extremely helpful, told me just to leave my car and come inside and enjoy some coffee, tv, or magazines and that they would get to my car as soon as they could. Watching these guys work was awesome. They had a very apparent team flow. I am not going to say they were a NASCAR pit crew, but they were smiling and working fast while being diligent. I observed Brian going over details with customers about options and observations about their vehicles and offering to help. Even though there were four cars ahead of me they got me in and out in a little under a half hour. When checking me out he explained I could come back anytime I noticed my fluids running low and they would take care of them, and he thanked me for coming in. I started up a conversation with the man and he soon discovered he is genuinely out to do a good job. It didn't bother him that I used a he understood that Groupons were to drive customers and attract new business. I was blown away. This is a great example of a local business that is going above and beyond to give great service and welcome new customers in to the fold. I love my new community of Donelson, and it is business like this one that one that just might keep me here.
