your points are basically the reasons why i am no longer active on tumblr. i log in once a week or so to see what some of my favorite blogs are up to (i consider your's one of them) and sometimes i'll post something, sometimes i won't. but, i rarely stick around long and no longer use it as a community like i once did.

You’re clearly not the only blog doing this. My follower base has changed dramatically, with way fewer active blogs. My dashboard seems to be dominated by a handful of Tumblrs reblogging tons of posts. That’s not all bad, but I’d like to see the @donkeysanddugs posting original content, too.

So other than that, nothing has changed except most of the porn vids seem to have vanished (porn photos don’t seem to be a problem, however) and there are scores of ads. I love how Tumblr promotes Facebook, as in Hey, leave this crap platform to join that crap platform...everyone is fleeing anyway, so why not there?

Not the most artistic photograph but this is my leisure time. I paint. The painting in this photo is a painting I did for my children when they were young readers. It was the engine of a four piece painting of a reading train. Not shockingly, I titled it Reading Train.

This is the engine. Each car in the train was covered with the characters from my children’s favorite books.

That’s interesting because Tumblr flagged all my posts of my paintings of Sophie Scholl as violating their content rules.

This isn’t surprising, considering Tumblr is relying on automated sensors. It’s been a month, and I can still open my feed and watch porn, and I’m still purging pornbots, and I’ve seen Nazi BS, too. So many Tumblrs are a mess now, from the avatars to the posts. I hate to keep invoking this but there’s no clearer comparison--it’s as if someone handed Tumblr over to the Trump shitshow.

Bridges.

Luckily, I live in The City of Bridges.  They’re just not always pretty bridges.  But, they get us across the river.

I’d say it’s likely, but my MO is to stay as far away from chemicals and powdered material as possible. In some of the open areas and stairwells, there was also a film of green on the floor.

Although I’ve eyed this particular industrial site for quite some time, I’ve never figured out its history, which might’ve given me a clue about these things.

A circle. This is a remaining bullet hole left in a sculpture at Kent State University. In 1970 the National Guard fired on unarmed student activists. Four students were killed, nine were injured. The students were protesting Nixon’s bombing of neutral countries during the Vietnam War.

I take an annual pilgrimage to this sign.  It is too perfect that someone turned the idiot tumbling off the ledge into a sk8er boi.
