what I think their biggest musical strength is (vocals, lyrics, showmanship, production, etc.): i'll start this off by saying yes she's not a vocalist but her music is enjoyable. to ME, in my opinion, cus people can debate this: out of her obvious rnb peers, her pen easily is one of the best. i know she gets judged cus of her romantic life (no comment...lol), but she has a couple of songs about wanting to off herself, and she can get a tiny bit existential with it sooo i think it's hilarious when people say she makes 'bird music' or whatever. she literally doesn't lmao but anyway! besides that, she has a distinct visual style for her album covers and the eras in general + has a clear vision and can execute it well. love that she's a fashion girlie and mostly styles herself. idt she's ever missed once look wise. that's diva!

last read: The last book I finished was Wichita Lineman: Searching in the Sun for the World's Greatest Unfinished Song by Dylan Jones. Pretty much what is says on the tin. I thought is was a pretty good look at the enduring qualities of the song. I just started Outlawed by Anna North. Nothing about it has really captured me so far, but it's still early days.
last song: Nothing I Can Do by Evangeline. Her work with Max Shrager helps fill the Shacks shaped hole in my life.
last film: The Best Summer (dir. Tamra Davis) (2026). I was hoping to catch a few Sundance picks this year, but was hit with the dreded Suprise Expenses. I've started a few other movies since then but it seems the only way I'm finishing things right now is with externally imposed time restrictions.
sweet or salty? Both. It tends to flip-flop so right now I'm riding a Sweet Wave.
coffee or tea? Also both. It really depends on whether I want something strong or not. And how my gut is feeling (though I rarely listen to her unfortunately).
working on: Well I've been focusing on my reading in the hopes that it will get me in the writing spirit... I've also been dealing with an old wrist sprain acting up which has put a pause on teaching myself the piano, so I've been trying to build my strength back up in my hand so I can get back to that!

I’ve been listening to this one a lot more recently but I was OBSESSED with it in 9th grade. It’s so fun and summery, an album full of joy

Best Song Ever by One Direction, I was the #1 directioner as a little girl but I was also kinda fake because when Zayn left I was just kinda like “idc, he’s not my favorite anyways”. I almost had a 1d themed birthday party but I go too embarrassed and changed it at the last minute.

Hey Baby by Bruce Channel from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. I only got put on to this song through a video about Ringo Starr’s albums even though I’ve seen Dirty Dancing many times.
