Stand for something or fall for anything
It is becoming more apparent that we need to live purposeful lives. In other words, why are we here? Where are we going and what are we here to do? Do we still go along with the status quo, grow up, get an education, work, get married, have some babies, retire and die? Sounds like fun right? I think not. Let's see, do you think everyone will grow up, no sadly people do die young.Will everyone go to school and be a scholar, no some people learn trades by apprentice and do just fine, and some are born with remarkable talent and never enter a school of higher learning, etc. Will everyone get married, it sure looks like it but surprisingly more people are cohabiting. The estate of marriage for the most part has lost its credibility. Will everyone have children of their own, no some will just mentor or be an aunt or uncle, and that's fine too. Will everyone live to retire, sadly most people do not live to retirement age. Is it because they slave to get rich and die trying? One thing is sure we will all die and/or cross over into another place of eternity. So there you have it, the design of man's plan for your life that you must live for yourself. How liberating is this! It would be wise to at least be brave enough to ask why you are here on this earth, what you are supposed to be doing while here, and who you must answer to. If you do not ask these questions and pray to get the right answers you will forever be lost and a puppet on a string for any and every puppet master out there (religions, belief systems, culture fads, self mastery techniques, cliques, scientific theories, knowledge groups and most of all your own self pity). How misguided can we prolong to be? Our lives can begin or end with the answers to three necessary questions. I pray that we all find peace with the answer we receive.
