Sometimes, young children would glue to the swordswoman.

But not in a positive way.

Admiration never blooming in their hearts, they would merely pick on and victimise Beatrix. Her reactions were beyond amusing, her screaming and whining put in doubt the fact she was a fully formed adult. 

Chased around while they were throwing trash, rocks and everything they found -- the idiotic woman would start begging for help. Someone in this park had to take pity on her predicament!

              ⊰  │♛│  ⊱ When one of the stray cats he had been messing around with suddenly started running up his arm, he immediately made an attempt to catch the mischievous animal –– only to watch its nimble body slip through his fingers. “Damnit –– !” The sight of it jumping off his shoulder prompted him to whip his head around and extend his hand out to try and catch it in mid-air. No matter how fast his little pal was, there was no way he was going to lose to him! 

              A smirk appeared on his face when he felt something soft wedged tightly between his digits. “Got –– ” Mordred stopped halfway when he noticed the feline was still right in front of him. “ –– Hah?” Glancing at his hand, he blinked when he realized he was actually holding a hat. Not a cat. His real target was sitting on top of the head of a stranger. A scowl appeared on his face when he realized he had just lost to the creature. “Oi! You got in the way so I couldn’t catch him!” It was obviously the guy’s fault.

Tavern Talk

There was one human culture thing the Lord did understand and that was the concepts of bars or more specifically taverns as he had seen a couple during one of his times outside of his land. Though his visits were short and very few; he still remembered them quite well.

They seemed to be the best place to find people who’d just sit and talk and to relax though his adviser hated him going to them since they seemed not worthy of a royal-like person as himself.

But here he was going to one anyway. After all his adviser wasn’t here to stop him and it seemed nice. Some people gave him the money item he was missing to fit in in this culture and that meant he could buy himself a drink or two.

Finding a red head alone he took it upon himself to sit down next to him and ask for something like he would hear in the past, expecting a mug shape item of beer. As he waited he ended up speaking to the much shorter man.

“It’s nice to see a place like this is in the city. I was half expecting they would have made certain there wouldn’t be.”

        “Ah, I keep forgetting that your kind is fussy. You lot these days are too sweet, even if you are a bit annoying and naive.”  Despite the rips of leather on her knees revealing the cuts of her fall, she waves him off with a snort to couple the backhanded comment though smiles endearingly at the slightest hint of concern that flashes across his face. The bump that had sent her almost flying in the first place had earned him a tame reaction as a result- she has to be sterner and animated to her fellow Spirits should they overlook the fact that she’s a queen- the boisterous huffs subsiding in favor of a more calm delivery. 

        “I do not feel minuscule injuries as this, so you needn’t worry yourself. Toughen up, you really ought to learn a thing or two from the Pharaohs and even my people. Spend a day with them and you’ll be forced into it, anyway.”
