Shiro brings his hand up and runs his fingers through his own mix-colored locks, giving his hair a bit of a mess. Perhaps he got heated up was all, but now his mind was leveled. “I dont believe we exchanged names,” He replies coolly, voice much more calm than before her odd compliments. “I’m Shiro, you are?”

“Ah, that is one thing that stands true from my initial assumption- ever a rigid and straightforward thinker. But there is no need to worry, we are far from battle, thus I have enough time to admire as I please!” Laughter comes easily and her response is quick as if she’s had this conversation before, as if she’s had to make the same excuses for her behavior on a regular basis. In the back of her mind, she has, when initially wooing Mark Antony but she can’t seem to recall it now since so much time has passed since then. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Shiro. Those from my world prefer to simply call me Assassin now, but my name is Cleopatra so you are free to choose which title settles on the tongue easier.”

Again, she offers a smile though this time, it’s followed by a wink. She can’t seem to let him go so easily just yet. “Though if you’d really like, you can call me Pharaoh. It’s what my subjects call me.”

Egypt was an independent kingdom when she thrived. For Pharaoh Cleopatra, however, outsiders had intercepted the lands and erected cultural sectors. Pharaoh Iskandar, Emperor Caesar ( he who was betrothed to Cleopatra herself! ) – their achievements touched the motherland and resounded as triumphs! Yet, yet… “Pharaoh, I–” Ah, that beautiful face brings her such sweet sorrow. Could those archives truly be accurate? If so, she musn’t regurgitate tragedy. “Forgive me, it’s nothing. Come! We have reunited, so let us indulge in this activity they call shopping. Will you teach me the fashion of this day and age? My current garb is… ill-fit for societal eyes.”

“Offended, indeed.” Her lips curl to a frown: enraged enough was her initial reaction to find that she’d been captured by humans who pretend to play the roles meant for the Gods, but upon the realization that she was not alone as a victim- that other descendants of the sun were roped and nabbed in the same crude manner- well, her blood boiled. It’s only when she hears her heartbeat in her ears that Cleopatra notices the anger welling. It’s unbefitting to be so riled in such esteemed company. Best save it for another time, another face. “However, I hadn’t thought of it in such a way, I very much admire your outlook. Yes, Masters are here, but not that they have much control. Where have they sent you to?”

“Yes?” Words falter, and much like the other Pharaohs before her, she’s quick to catch the small lilts in tone or hesitation in voices to notice unease of subjects, an almost unspoken requirement to be leader of such a great empire. A polite smile settles on her features, though when Nitocris pushes past it, she makes no effort to pry. It simply isn’t her place.

She’s caught off guard, brows knit in silent laughter and she lurches forward allowing a giggle or two to surface. Really, her predecessors never failed to surprise her. “I find it beautiful that you allow to show what this city is little deserving to see, not ill-fit as you say. But if you so please, I will be more than happy to accompany you.”

Excitement launches her forward, eyes wide and brimming with wonder with hands on her knees from where she sits to goad the other on, ushering with her eyes and expectant with her stare. “Well, go on now, what have you come to present to use?”

You certainly have had no time to truly take in its true beauty, but you are lucky to be able to experience my people and their hospitality! Come now, don’t be shy, tell Cleopatra what she can do for you.”
