I've been rewatching Steven Universe and can I just say how much I love the background characters? Like, the group of cool teenagers who genuinely enjoy hanging out with a 13-14 year old kid. They go out of their way to take him on a midnight ride cause they know he's lonely. They set up a potluck dinner and asked the two weird donut hut workers to come and had a great time hanging with Sadie. It just makes me so happy to see kids like this in a kids show. The writers really put so much thought into this program aimed at children who they know need role models like this. Legit brings tears to my eyes 🥺🥰
