“ What did I do to deserve you, Souji?” Miu’s stern expression melted into a happy smile, elated that he had brought her a warm drink after work. The intern enjoyed seeing him every day, and looked forward to being with him after such long shifts. “Here, I’m not gonna let you watch me drink it all..! You can have some too..” Bright pink eyes blinked up at him, offering him the cup. “ You’re not grossed out sharing a drink, are you? Sorry...!”
@dontbe-upseta “....Souji?” It had been months upon months since Miu had parted with Souji back in Inaba. She departed just days before him, journeying to Akihabara to pursue a job offer at one of their major police stations. She did it, she was a detective. Standing before the young man she developed one of the closest bonds with, her cheeks burned. It had been so long, and finally they could meet again..! Her cuffs and keys jingled as she rushed down the stairs to the train station. Miu ran up to Souji with a smile on her face. “ I...I missed you! Look at you! You’ve grown up so much..!”
"You look perfect tonight."
“Oh? Haven’t seen me in normal clothes in awhile, huh?” She wasn’t the best at being a playful tease, but she was beyond flustered with his compliment. “….R-really though, thank you..you always know exactly what to say, don’t you?!”
“Must be hard to kiss with those fake teeth…”
“Adachi-san said it made my costume look more authentic. I have a feeling he was just trying to mess with me.” Miu concealed her blush with the vampire cape she borrowed from her co-worker, thinking costumes were required for the day. Why did she listen to him?! She felt silly, but..“May as well test that theory, huh?”
"Happy birthday, partner. I thought maybe we could spend some time together today as long as you don't have other plans. Oh, and I made this for you." of course Souji had baked a cake with the assistance of Nanako for Yosuke.
“Me? With plans? Dude my own parents didn’t even do something for me and they have one kid to worry about. I’m totally free.” And maybe just a little excited about spending the day with Souji. Only slightly.
“Wait--you made this? You...really made me a cake? I don’t really know what to say, except...thanks, partner.”
“That’s a lot of blood.”

Putting on a brave face was next to impossible. As Yosuke sat there, slumped against the wall, one arm wrapped around himself, he began to feel real fear. Was he going to die? He hadn’t even thought about it when he threw himself in the way of the attack, and now there was so much blood, so much pain, and Souji...
Why did he look at him with those cold eyes? Didn’t he care...?
“I don’t know if I can walk. Partner...? What do I do...?”
