No, but I'll use it.
First of all, I need specific sources because I've heard so many different percentages batted around that I don't bother keeping track of them. I'm also not certain your phrasing is mathematically coherent.
Secondly, that would depend on how they came by that wealth. Did they acquire it by looting, or by investment, or by discovery? Would the other half be wealthy were it not for conditions outside of the wealthy's control? For instance, are Bill Gates and Warren Buffett to blame for the excesses of an African warlord?
Inequality is to be expected, and cannot be avoided. Unjust inequality is to be avoided. The question is what inequality is just, and what is not.

Not in the slightest. My view of freedom is based on the fundamental Right of Life. To acknowledge a human being has that right after emerging from the womb, but not two days before, would be contradictory.
