we all love beast!wirt. you love it, your parents love it, the kids love it, beast!wirt is the fan favorite in every demographic, don’t get me wrong. Beast!wirt is top rate, the real bee’s knees, a hot seller!
But we gotta remember:
The Beast never wanted or needed a lantern-bearer. As shown, he tries to steal away the lantern at any opportunity. But, more important than who is holding the lantern is whether they are feeding it oil, so the task of lantern-bearer is a bandaid solution until the Beast can steal the lantern or defeat the lantern-bearer.
So what I’m saying is, Wirt as lantern bearer, clumsy and willing to do what he’s told and nervous and awkward and terrible at armed combat, would not last much longer than his brother in the Unknown.
And, just as importantly:
Beast!Greg is the one with canon merch.
