You aren’t the first person to come to this situation, so here’s a handy guide to identifying whether you’re dealing with Ship or I.
There are many easy ways to tell us apart:
I am maybe 8 inches taller than Ship
I am crepuscular, Ship meanwhile is cathemeral.
I can and will eat considerable quantities of raw beef at a moment’s notice but to the best of my knowledge Ship won’t do that.
If Ship is poured into a glass jug they will fill it, but retain their volume. I will retain my shape and probably break the jug.
Ship is largely arboreal while I generally prefer sagebrush scrub. We can be found to overlap in Lodgepole and Mixed Conifer Forests, and bogs. Everyone loves a bog.
Ship sucks blood year round for sustenance, whereas I only gorge myself on blood during the late spring to gain vital nutrients I need to raise my myriad young.
Ship is positively charged and I am negatively charged, so if we touch we’ll explode, creating one well rounded functional cool middle school science teacher in the massive crater we created.
One of us can only tell the truth, and one can only tell lies, but we alternate and don’t always coordinate so take that with a grain of salt.
(for real though my close, long term, real life friends have sent me Ship’s posts on here saying that they sound like me, and also I very much take it as a compliment!)
