imessage | hello peter 🌟
shelley: c'mon dearie, join me for a swim.
it’s a particularly cold day down by the shop that emery and his dad own, and it doesn’t help that she’s been instructed many a time to wait for him outside inside of coming in. good thing i wore pants today, she thought to herself and she zips up the navy colored jacket she was wearing a little more to protect herself from the wind. shelley sends emery yet another text message, starting to wonder if he was even at the shop today. her phone finds it’s way into her pocket, back pressed against the side of the building as she begins to play with her hands, waiting for him to either come out or text her back. “i’ll spit in his pancakes.” she murmurs under her breath.
not only is her entire life disorganized, but so is her school work, apartment, car and her purse. receipts in places they shouldn’t be, there’s a pair of socks at the bottom somewhere, an empty chap-stick container, change at the bottom of the bag. her car keys and cellphone are the only two things in her bag that go in the same place each and every single time.
the women at the counter is getting angrier the more she waits for her to locate her dollar bill ( which swore to Triton that she had one left in her bag ). her cheeks flush a light pink under the glare she’s getting as she rushes to try and find the dollar bill and instead only comes up with two pennies and an empty gum wrapper. “i’m so sorry.” she mumbles to the women before turning to the person behind her in line. “i’m so very sorry for holding you up, but i seem to have lost my last dollar, and i was wondering if i could borrow one from you. i will do anything you ask, i swear.”
she’s already a little weird to begin with. now on top of that, she’s standing in the middle of the sidewalk, with paws. just starting out into space. is the painting above my couch off center?
