"This body is a size 10 and a large. This body is also a size 12, a small, an 8, a medium and x large. This body is heavier than last summer and maybe it’s muscle and not the extra pool drinks from yesterday 😉 This body has seen over 200lbs and used to be defined by an “ideal weight”. I used to define myself by the number on the tag of my pants or inside my shirt and stare at the scale searching for the number that I thought would be my ideal weight (boy was I wrong). What if we stopped defining ourselves by a dress size or a weight goal and start with defining health goals? I want to be off my blood pressure medication. I want to run a mile without stopping. I want to be able to get through my day without taking a nap. I want to eat 5 different colors of fruits or vegetables every day. I want to join a swim club and swim twice a week. I want to play soccer with my kids 3 nights a week. I want to drink 90oz of water each day. I want to feel comfortable in my favorite pair of jeans (doesn’t matter if they’re 2s or 12s- I can literally wear a 6/8 and a 12/14 right now- brands are ridiculous). I want to be able to do 5 chest to floor push ups without stopping. Then add on 2 each week! Those are health goals." 👏👏👏 So well said, Amanda!!! We are not defined by the number on the scale or the tag in our clothing. #dontletitdefineyou We need to change our mindset of what our health goals mean to us and the WHY behind them. If you are ready to take the first steps in achieving your TRUE health goals, head on over to the link in my BIO @cariclark702 to join us for our February 1 round. You will be so happy you did!
