Venom

Hopefully no one makes fun of me for this, but my mom had me watch the movie Aliens when I was a little kid (maybe six or seven?). It terrified me, and even though I’ve only seen it once, I can tell you everything that happened in it.  I have tried to conquer my fear by forcing myself to watch the movie again when I got older, but I panicked and couldn’t do it (which I kind of hate myself for, because I feel weak and like I should have been able to).  I know it’s not real, but that doesn’t matter, you know?

In short, and to finally get to the point, I cannot watch anything like Aliens (facehuggers and chest bursters, mainly), and even the Goa’uld taking over a host in Stargate kind of makes me reallly upset.  We are talking crying, shaking, nightmares for days issues.  I can’t even watch the end of spaceballs, and I was not fond of the scene in ready player one, but it was quick and animated, so it wasn’t that bad.

Vulnerability expressed, I kind of want to see Venom, but I am worried about the “takeover” part of it (if that makes sense).  If I can’t watch Aliens and some parts of Stargate, will I be able to watch Venom?  I could handle it when I watched Spiderman 3, but that seems different from this Venom from the commercials.
