26:Top 3 obscure series/movies/books I recommend:
I don’t know how obscure these actually are, but I sure wish more people had read them.
The Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson (Books). You want epic-length fantasy? Vivid, funny, fully-rendered characters? Kickass ladies? Magic based on the manipulation of metal? Eternal god kings? Epic battle sequences? Triumph? Tragedy? More feels than you thought you could feel in one novel? Mistborn has you covered. Hands-down my favorite fantasy series, and one of my favorite reads ever.
Lucifer from Vertigo Comics (books/graphic novels). It is so much better than the shitty TV series. The Devil abandons Hell to open a piano bar in LA. After receiving a commission from God himself, Lucifer takes his payment and creates his own universe, independent from God’s control. The series sprawls across 70-odd issues and introduces us to pantheons of gods, demons, angels, fallen cherubs, and tells a magnificent masterwork of a story that is both divine and completely human in scale.
The Fairyland series by Catherynne M. Valente (books). A girl named September visits Fairyland and has adventures there. These books are every bit as wonderful as Harry Potter, and yet I hear almost no one talk about them. The first installment was absolutely magical, and though the series has some ups and downs from there it is a lovely, fantastical, amazing read for almost all ages.
32. Top 3 scary moments in fiction:
“The Beast” appears (”The Magicians” by Lev Grossman). This is one of the very very few times I have been legitimately fearful while reading a piece of fiction. Though I hated most of the book and can’t recommend it to anyone with a clear conscience, there were a few scenes Grossman turned into powerhouses of great writing. The appearance of a mysterious nemesis known as The Beast amid a classroom full of students,and his actions is one of the best scenes I have read in a long time.
Harry visits the cave by the sea (”Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” by J. K. Rowling. Holy creepy ghosts in the water, Batman, we’re not in a kids’ book anymore. Even though we had dealt with death and various horrors before this point, that chapter was when Rowling broke out the big guns.
Ernest Scared Stupid. This is my dark, soul-wrenching confession. I was very young (but not that young) and I had (have) a ridiculously vidiv imagination, and when I saw this movie and it scared the ever-fearful hell out of me. Those trolls, man. Those fucking trolls. I refused to sleep for days, had nightmares for months, and still refuse to watch horror movies. Or anything remotely scary. Yes, it was an Ernst movie. I knooooowwww. No, I don’t care. That damn movie was the one single moment in scary fiction that has defined the rest of my life and turned me into a raging coward.

No joke! I'm not a huge fan of sword art so to me this ship is just the most logical. It's a nice anime don't get me wrong but I just never got super into it. But I get the fun of dancing with people from the same anime as you. So to say this was what people would call cute! Glad you two had fun! Let's be friends! :D
