Do me a favor, if you have a dog, put down your phone. Go find your dog. Pet him, go play fetch, or try to teach him how to play fetch. Go for a walk, even if it’s just around the block, it’ll make his day. Give him an extra treat tonight or give into his begging once in a while. Or just scratch his ears and give him some attention. Because life is short, but theirs is so much shorter.

I miss old people in my life, no matter how long ago or how recently they left.
