#kingdevinjoseph #GreggoryLee #GreggLee #MargaretBorowski #MaeBorowski #donutwolf #AngusDelaney #NightintheWoods WE! HAVE! A! NEW! STORE! I think it's not so much that Angus thinks it's Mae's fault for the arguments he and Gregg had been having, but her presence has clearly been distracting Gregg from their plan, pulling him further back into old habits. Before Mae showed up again, Angus and Gregg were focused mainly on getting out of Possum Springs. But here comes Mae, seemingly unchanged from when she left for school, giving Gregg a sense of pining for the 'good ol' days' instead of the future they had planned together. The fights he's been having with Gregg are because of Gregg's behaviour, but they've spent most of the time Mae's been back kind of skirting around the fact that she's also part of the problem. It's not that it's her fault for wanting the comfort of the life she had with her old friends, but at the same time it can be harmful, and the Donut Wolf trip was what brought that issue fully to light. I think it would have been unfair if he told Mae that SHE needed to grow up. Which is kind of what happens in the Bea hangouts, but that's a different storyline. Mae pretty much gets into Gregg's and Angus' relationship, creating a bit of drama between them, but in the end they talk about it and solve the problems. However, I analyze how Mae and him talk about being legends, and the trophy description after the whole Donut Wolf incident, and I realize how sad it feels. Mae and him are best friends but eventually he and Angus will move out to Bright Harbour. Mae said she'll visit, but still in a sense she kinda let's go of him to live his life, she's still aimless, and she and Bea aren't exactly on the best terms. All that's left are the memories of all the things they did toghether, and the robot they left in woods. As the trophy description says: "Long after we're gone the kids will still talk about it."
#kingdevinjoseph #donutwolf #NightintheWoods Ride the Chariot! — Donut Wolf slogan The Donut Wolf is a pastry shop located on the outskirts of Possum Springs. It sells donuts, flapjacks, and other pastries. Mae goes to the Donut Wolf during Gregg'sfinal friendship event during the second day of Part 3. This trip is taken with both Gregg and Angus, though Angus seems to be displeased with the trip. So I've been done with the game for about a week and my mind has basically settled on my own theories and feelings about the characters and the overall game but one thing has been bothering me still. I still don't completely understand why the blame is put on Mae for Gregg's behavior on the Donut Wolf trip. Gregg himself says that he and Angus have been arguing for a while now, which is normal for couples that are reaching a big change in their lives. And I thought what we were witnessing during that night was going to be a small resolution to their issue. But then it becomes a talk about how Gregg wants to grow up and...Mae is holding him back? And that somehow SHE has been making things weird between Angus and Gregg? Not only that, the way the game plays out the scene makes it that they are correct. And this just confuses me because if anything the blame is about 50/50, if not can be blamed totally on Gregg! I love Gregg, he's probably my favorite character so this just frustrated me when I played. Sure Gregg kind of acknowledged that he still needs to grow up, but then by saying "Mae, you need to let me grow up." it's like he's placing way too much blame on Mae. I just don't know how to feel about this scene. Was it intentionally unfair to further drive home how flawed the characters are? Was this scene just not executed well? How did you guys feel about it?
Bought this mug at work tonight because I felt it was the perfect pun-y motivation I need to make it through the last two days of classes and finals, especially with two research papers to finish. Plus, I think it goes well with my NITW desktop background! #nitw #donutwolf #donutgiveup
