(Note: IdeaFest was held in Tishman Commons, a space that cannot hold the entire campus, so attendance would be limited to what the space could fit, including tables, chairs, and food).
Bursar added that the ballot initiative can only be used for one idea, while IdeaFest can split up the money for multiple ideas.
Sec-Treas added that IdeaFest was unique because it let people collaborate unlike a ballot initiative
CPLA chair added that things like petting zoos are available at other points in the year, and that we should use the money to transform opinions into tangible ideas
WASAC members suggested using the funds to create a multicultural space on campus, because students had been promised one for multiple years, yet there was still no physical space on campus.
CGP was doubtful $11,000 would be enough for that, but Grace Park, ZA, disagreed
CGP pushed for IdeaFest because students would have more flexibility. She suggested having more tables to discuss multiculturalism at wellesley

A senator suggests splitting up the $11,000, with $5,000 going towards IdeaFest
CGP clarifies that regardless of how much money is given to IdeaFest, it will still happen.
Several senators suggest to vote on bringing back the 3 options to their constituents: IdeaFest, ballot initiative, or splitting up the money
They didn’t really have discussions about this last week because they weren’t even sure what to bring back to their constituents
Motion passes to bring back the three options to constituents and postpone vote until following week
