Meet Valentina Sampson for @doodlesimss​ Finley Big Happy Family| Cheerful| Foodie| Perfectionist

Valentina, Val to her friends, was born and raised in Willow Creek. Like Finley, she’s an only child, though raised by her father. Her mother passed away a few years after she was born. As much as she might have missed that woman’s touch in her life, she owes everything to her dad. It was because of him and his love of sports that she found her calling in life.

She joined a local peewee soccer team at three and fell in love with the game. All her excess energy went into it and she earned a full paid scholarship to Britechester. Yeah, rivalry school to Foxbury, but a little healthy competition is good for a relationship. Right?

She recently graduated with honors and has been recruited to a Pro soccer team. While her life doesn’t revolve entirely around soccer, it does play into her other hobbies. Since she has to stay in peak conditions, Val has gotten into learning new ways to cook healthier. She also loves to end the day destressing with a bit of yoga.   

She does have her weaknesses. She catches sight of a fresh batch of homemade ice cream and you bet she’ll get herself a big bowl of it. Strawberry being her absolute favorite. She also loses track of time, especially if she’s found a moment to catch up on her favorite television show. 

Her love life... well, it could have been better. She’s always been one of the guys. And the few times she’s shown any interest in a guy, her buddies decide to act like over protective brothers. But Finley is absolutely adorable and maybe away from those jerkheads buddies, Val has a chance to find love.

DOODLE AROUND THE WORLD: MARCH 2020, SCANDINAVIA

Hey everyone, I’m super excited to announce the first in what will hopefully be a long series of monthly challenges I’ll be hosting. This isn’t just a build challenge, it’s a simming challegne! For the full list of guidelines and ways you can enter, please read below the cut! As always, feel free to ask any questions you have pertaining to the challenge, and I will do my best to answer them!

BUILD CHALLENGE

build something inspired by Scandinavia!

no lot restrictions

any lot type goes

all packs except from Moschino Stuff, and no cc

upload to the gallery with the hashtag #doodleatw1 by 1st April 2020

FURNISH CHALLENGE

furnish my existing build in a Scandinavian style!

you can replace any existing windows/doors, as long as they’re in the same place as the original

you can edit the floorplan, within reason

don’t change the placement of the exterior walls, but you can build separate exterior structures (e.g. a garden shed)

you can change the landscaping, floors, walls, as much as you like

you can place this on a bigger lot and edit terrain and orientation to your heart’s content!

Charlie Ayers for @doodlesimss‘s Finn

goofball, foodie, love outdoors | friend of the world | 

the baby of the family

born and raised in Sulani

likes: the ocean, family, baking, peanut butter, making friends and having fun

dislikes: seagulls - she has a respect for most animals just not seagulls.

older brother, Ben, would bake with her when she was younger, teaching her their moms recipes - she’d make a mess but have so much fun and get delicious treats

has a habit of flicking cake mix at her brother whenever they bake together

would work shifts either cooking or tending bar at her older brothers bar/restaurant as a teen

has basically been raised running around in nature and swimming in the sea, so she has a healthy respect for it all

not used to wearing dresses

studied biology at uni 

she loved her time at uni, especially getting to live and explore a new place and meet new people - as much as she loves her family she wants to see more now that she’s got a taste for it

wants to start a family of her own one day but she’s secretly slightly terrified of childbirth and is worried that she won’t know how to be a good mom. her two little nephews are adorable though and she sees how happy they make her big brother so how could’t she want that?

still undecided about what she wants to do with her life - she’s thinking of marine biology but she’s also half-joked about opening a bakery.. her brother told her she’d just use that as an excuse to taste-test her whole stock though

Charlie was born to a conservationist and a chef who had moved to Sulani to find out where the chef’s parents had come from and had then proceeded to fall in love with the place and never leave. Charlie herself was a surprise addition to the Ayers family, both for the fact that she was born eleven years after the then-youngest and the fact that they had expected her to be their fourth boy rather than their first and only daughter. It was just unfortunate for Mama-Ayers that she never got to know that her little Charlie was actually the little girl that she had once dreamed of having.

With her mother having passed away she was raised by her dad and three older brothers. She still loved her childhood, her brothers may be idiots but they’re her idiots and they all did their best by the baby of the family. Ben would take time to bake with her and to teach her everything that their mom had taught him in the kitchen since he had been the only one that she managed to drag in there. George (Ben’s twin) taught her to swim as soon as possible (that was more of a safety issue though with where they lived - they were slightly paranoid as teenagers that a toddler-Charlie would fall off of the decking around their house, to the point where the barricaded it all off until she could swim decently). James, the oldest of them all and probably the quietest of the family, would read to her and let her sleep on top of him. And her old dad would take her outside into the big wide world and patiently explain what all of the plants and animals around them were. Yeah, Charlie loved her childhood and she couldn’t thank her brothers and old man more for giving it to her.

As she’s grown her love for baking has grown, partly because of the sweet treats that it results in and partly because it brings up happy memories with her maybe-secret-favourite big brother. The only other thing that has attracted her attention as much as baking are her father’s lessons on the importance of the earth around them and her swimming adventures with her other brother. The swimming was more about the sights that she could see while in the great big blue - its a whole other world there and she feels blessed that she’s got to see bits of it.

She came across Finn’s bachelor challenge while she was spending time with her sister-in-law and it was her that told Charlie that she should apply after hearing the younger girl say that he was cute. Charlie had thought about it for a while before deciding why not? She thought it would be a fun way to see a new place and make new friends and if she got a chance at a cute boy at the same time? That would just be the icing on the cake.

Growing up as an army kid, Dylan is used to travelling a lot - Something she also enjoys doing as a young adult. After spending much of her teenage years in StrangerVille she moved to her own place, an adorable trailer home a few clicks from her parents house, with her two year old fur baby Hugo.

She started working right out of high school while taking night classes drawing. She’s found her calling in the veterinarian career and plans on applying for vet school next semester.

Meet Sharyn Duffy, my girly for @doodlesimss‘s Finn

Sharyn comes from one of the less glamorous parts of Del Sol Valley. As the youngest of three children, she had a modest but sheltered childhood. At least until the day she and her siblings lost both parents at once. Sharyn's eldest sister was already of full age at that time and managed to get custody of her siblings. From then on, the three of them fought their way through life together.

- Sharyn works in a clothing store and takes every occasional job she can get. - Her biggest dream is to unlock the secrets of Selvadorada and become a successful archaeologist - this was also her father's unfulfilled dream. - Sharyn still lives with her oldest sister, her brother has moved to San Myshuno, but the siblings are in daily contact. - She hopes for a big, happy family - because family is the most important thing for Sharyn. - She likes to eat Mac and Cheese because it reminds her of her childhood. - Sharyn is a very cheerful person who always has a smile on her lips. - She is open to all sorts of nonsense and it rarely gets boring with her.

Jeremy Gabe for @doodlesimss‘ Mallory

Jeremy has spent his whole simple life in Del Sol Valley with his mum and two younger sisters. He works at his friend’s vegetarian restaurant as a waiter, sometimes he visits animal shelter and helps take care of the dogs and at the weekends, you would see him either at a party or playing board games with his family. Although making friends is easy for him, he hasn’t been lucky with finding love ever since his high school girlfriend broke up with him six years ago. All his dates after her have been the definition of a disaster, but he’s not losing hope. Could Mallory break the curse?

Fun Facts:

24 years old

Lost count of how many times he’s bleached his hair

Would adopt all the dogs if he could

Knows all the words to all Panic! At The Disco songs but other than that, his memory can be pretty bad

Goes camping with his dad and a thirteen years old half-brother to Granite Falls every year
