How is stuff going, is your computer back up and running? It would be cool to hear some news out of this project.

Well, my computer died. And I mean it really died. Hopefully, my new computer will be here in a couple weeks, so I’ll pick up a lot of projects I have currently on hold (which include Doom EU) when I have it in my hands.

just wanted to say i loved the screenshot. are you allowed to tell what you're going to fill the other unfinished parts with? and will that ecg be animated?

The ECG is already fully animated, and changes depending on your current health.

And the missing parts are to be filled with the current weapon and score, respectively. There's also another Status Bar for the automap that shows other data.

I remember there are some easter eggs on the bible, will you include them? And will there be easter eggs of your own?

We're trying to include most things that are mentioned in the Doom Bible, so it's a possibility. And about our own easter eggs.. well, maybe.

Will the chaingun show up?

Since the Machinegun is essentially the same weapon with different sprites, the answer is kinda ambiguous. However, if you're asking about the Chaingun as it appears in Ultimate Doom, then no.

Will the doom 1 weapons apper in the multiplayer modes?

Doom 1 weapons are basically Doom EU's weapons, so I guess the answer is yes. And the Grenade Launcher will also be available for Deathmatch.

Aside from the Bruiser Brothers, have you guys had any early ideas about the looks and behavior of any future bosses from other episodes??

To be honest, no.

I think only episodes 1, 2, 4 and 6 are supposed to have boss fights at the end, but only Episodes 1 and 4 have definite bosses (the Bruiser Bros and the Cyberdemon to be specific).

As episodes are being finished, we will have time to think about that, but not yet.

Will any doom 2 monsters show up?

Oh my! This question will spoil details, but I guess I just answered your question with that.

Yes, there will be Doom 2 monsters ahead, but not in Episode 1. These were under consideration, but were deemed necessary to expand the character roster without having to resort to other means like the Realm667 Beastiary.

How far are you guys planning on going with fx and stuff? Are there plans to add stuff like shell casings and advanced gore or are you sticking to more vanilla stuff?

The idea is to keep the game the most 1993-esque possible. I guess shell casings are a maybe, but not sure tho.

Decals are in, because Tom said they were needed, and so is line transparency in window “glass”.

As for gore, nothing extra will be added than what is provided by the vanilla IWAD (not counting new monsters, obviously).
