oak: who would your muse consider the strongest person they know? if   you   asked   him   this   to   his   face   he   would   have   to   dive   deep   for   an   answer.    kazuha   finds   admiration   in   people   for   such   a   variety   of   reasons      —      and   “  strength  ”   to   him   is   something   hard   to   define.   physically?   he   has   crossed   blades   with   a   god,   there’s   very   little   room   for   any   opponent   to   overshadow   the   sheer   power   he   was   faced   with   that   day,   but  he   wouldn’t   consider   her   someone   he   knows.   although!   he   does   still   stress   that   there’s   an   argument   to   made   for   how   much   a   person   reveals   of   themself   to   him   in   combat;   however   fleetingly.   emotionally?   he   might   turn   to   someone   like   naganohara   yoimiya,   the   one   woman   resistance   of   narukami   island   who   not   only   took   on   so   much   extra   trouble   throughout   the   vhd   for   the   sake   of   the   people   without   ever   giving   away   any   clues   as   to   what   she   was   doing   behind   the   scenes   but   also   made   sure   to   lift   up   the   spirits   of   everyone   around   her.   to   speak   of   resolution?   nobody   has   ever   stood   so   firm   and   courageous   as   tomo.   

but   this   is   a   question   with   only   one   answer   and   in   the   end,   that   answer   would   have   to   consider   all   of   these   things   in   one   person:          it   would   be   a   toss   up   between   beidou   and   kokomi.

even   if   he   chose   to   ignore   the   tales   of   her   various   feats   of   strength   bordering   on   inhumane,   beidou   is   a   rock   for   everyone   she   knows   to   lean   on.   she   is   loyal,   trustworthy,   and   the   most   reliable   person   he   has   ever   known.   she   comes   through.   everyone   in   liyue   and   beyond   has   such   praise   for   her      —     even   the   mightiest   of   storms   must   bow   its   head   to   her,   but   kazuha   got   to   know   her   for   himself   before   coming   to   hear   much   of   this,   and   she   did   not   flex   or   boast.   he   only   hopes   he   can   be   just   as   dependable   a   friend   for   her   in   turn.   as   for   kokomi;     she   has   the   qualities   required   for   leadership,   she   commands   armies,   she   takes   a   stand   against   injustice   no   matter   the   cost,   and   in   doing   all   of   this   she   remains   modest,   displays   humility.   kazuha   will   always   respect   her   both   as   a   person   of   great   character   and   as   a   formidable   strategist   who   refused   to   let   up   against   the   shogunate.

basil: does your muse have a love - hate relationship with anything? the   closest   i   can   think   of   to   a   ‘love - hate’   relationship   kazuha   has   is   with   the   concept   of   home.   he   doesn’t   hate   inazuma.   in   fact,   he   still   has   a   very   deep   love   for   the   land   of   his   birth   and   he   would   march   straight   back   into   war   for   it   again,   no   questions   asked.   he   does   hate   what   happened   there      (to   him   and   others)     and   the   fact   that   he   cannot   exist   there   in   peace   without   very   triggering   feelings   and   re-experiencing   /   dwelling   on   things   that   he   has   worked   to   leave   in   the   past.   there   are   pieces   of   the   puzzle   he   is   figuring   out   for   himself      –     whether   time   will   allow   him   to   see   it   differently,   if   proper   reparations   will   be   made,    or   whether   that   home   is   something   he’s   going   to   ultimately   have   to   let   go   of.       

as   a   rule,   kazuha   actively   tries   to   accept   that   the   good   and   the   bad   are   very   intimately   woven   together   all   throughout   life.   his   attunement   to   nature   and   its   seasons     (cruel,   gentle,   unforgiving,   comforting)     his   practice   of   the   sword   arts,   every   philosophy   he   carries   with   him   remind   him   of   this   fact.   but   even   then      —       he   isn’t   perfect   and   he   doesn’t   like   to   be   hateful.   he   can   be   upset,   even   angry,   but   if   he   finds   that   a   place/person/anything at all   moves   him   in   such   a   negative   way,   he   does   not   hesitate   when   cutting   ties.   he   may   or   may   not   feel   bad   about   it,   but   at   his   core   he   is   constantly   moving   forward :         hatred   is   something   he   can   leave   behind   with   no   need   to   look   back   on,   when   there   is   so   much   love   he   can   find   elsewhere.   does   this   mean   that   he   can   be   avoidant,   in   denial,   even,   of   certain   problems   he   encounters?   absolutely   yes.   and   he   thinks   that’s   alright,   so   long   as   he   at   least   makes   an   attempt   at   resolving   them   before   deciding   to   distance   himself.   he   simply   won’t   pour   all   of   his   energy   into   something   hopeless,   just   to   make   himself   feel   horrible,   even   if   there   are   some   positive   aspects   to   be   found.

sunflower: what brings your muse the most joy in life? such   tiny   little   things.   deep   inside   of   kazuha   there   is   still   a   whispering   of   the   boy   he   once   was,   so   easily   wowed   and   impressed   by   everything   the   world   has   to   offer.   he   enjoys   quality   time   connecting   deeply   with   other   people,   he   enjoys   philosophising   about   life   and   closely   analysing   literature    .  .  .     but   at   the   same   time?   he   loves   the   sunrise   and   the   sunset,   birdsong   in   the   morning,   the   gentle   breeze   in   his   hair,   a   moment   of   reprieve   in   the   late   afternoon.   ultimately,   though,   it   is   his   freedom   that   allows   him   to   drift   between   the   varying   intensities   of   life   at   his   own   pace:     he   would   hold   none   of   it   so   dear   were   you   to   take   a   hold   of   him   and   tell   him   that   he   must   appreciate   this   or   that.   his   happiness   is   very   tethered   to   his   own   ability   to   dictate   the   what,   where,   when   of   it   all      —     it   is   why   his   abilities   stagnate   and   his   anxiety   grows   whenever   he   remains   in   one   place   for   too   long,   that   feeling   of   being   weighed   down.   right   now,   kazuha   has   the   freedom   to   think   for   himself,   to   travel   through   teyvat   and   experience   it   all   if   he   so   chooses   to,   to   spend   time   out   at   sea   with   the   crux,   or   to   find   somewhere   else   to   settle   down   and   grow   accustomed   to   for   a   little   while.   he   can   find   comfort   and   fulfilment   through   any   of   these   things      —     his   choice   in   the   matter   is   what   brings   him   joy.

this almost feels like something callas would say to her , but it also really fits with her honestly . . . first , ' you'll sail the ocean / finding where you should be ' could be a reference to the nautical vibes and references she has ( literally her name is one ) . and ' your eyes are open / so never close them ' ? ? ? it feels like something that callas did try to teach her for years ! to see beyond the mold that fontaine had on it's justice system , and it took his death for her to truly see it . not only that , but at the very end , it basically tells me how navia was able to go against it all and everyone and prove for certain how her father had been innocent , and a hero behind the scenes really . . .

while this song is about a break up , i honestly see it differently . the way i see it , it's about when she lost her father . she got stuck on that , while everyone in fontaine just . . . moved on . it was the talk of the week , and then they just went on and focused on another big case that happened . meanwhile , she was left in pieces ; inside a fantasy where her father was still there , and everything was right and . . . normal . as it should have been . truthfully , that was her for a while after his death ; only silver and melus to try and help her move on . ' did you hear about the girl who lives in delusion ? ' aka , for at least a year and half , she could not move on . could not accept that he was gone . ' she's still 23 inside her fantasy / and you're sitting in front of me ' , she was 23 when he was killed in front of everyone ; and she would rather imagine that he was still with her , sitting in front of her for breakfast like they did every morning , than acknowledge he is truly gone .
