Ah. It’s been… a day. Lots of highs and lows. My flail broke in half on the walk over from my hotel, which was a teary and stressful start to my day. I got it fixed eventually, with a combination of an exacto knife, three types of glue, and zipties, but I was sort of a mess through judging and didn’t end up saying as much as I wanted to. But hey, that’s life. I managed to limp my way over to the group photoshoot at the fountain just at the nick of time to catch the last of the big shots, and to be part of the Diablo photo with a ton of wonderful other folks, and my crusaders-in-crime (@vashfanatic, @whit.craft, @ironmantran, & @starcaller.beareana). I didn’t do as much wandering as I wanted to, since I’m not very mobile, and I’m still super sore from last weekend. So I probably won’t have a ton of photos to show you guys, but hopefully I’ll do a cool location shoot in the next month or so to make up for it :) As for the contest. I didn’t place. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little sad (it’s been a dream to even get an honorable mention for years, apparently it’s not to be), but everyone who won was absolutely phenomenal and I’ve so loved following everyone’s super hard work over the last year. Blizzard cosplayers are truly a family and I feel so proud to be part of a group that’s constantly pushing the bar higher and higher of what cosplay can be at its best. And last but not least, I just want to give a shout out to Lee Frazier, a fellow cosplayer who didn’t quite finish his costume in time, but devoted his entire friday to being a handler for five people at once, a hero of superglue, bearer of the magical electronic fan, and bringer of water; without which I may still be collapsed on the con floor. Kudos man. And to all of you who supported me on this crazy build, and cheered me on, thank you so so much, and I love you all. #cosplay #blizzcon #doomcrusader #worbla #diablocosplay #diablo3 #crusadercosplay
