Hello ! I just got an idea:

imagine Doomguy and reader working together but reader don’t like him at first, thinking he’s an annoying broody brute XD and they get closer after. (Not necessarily shipping)

Doomguy & Reader: Brooding Brute or Bashful Buddy?

Getting "hired" for his team wasn't in the cards. But when the UAC pretty much threw you out, you got picked up by the newest AI on the team, Samuel Hayden.

Wait. Samuel Hayden? The guy who was the chairman of the UAC?

Yeaaaaah, he's not proud of his new role. But he's not the problem here. This big, brooding, quiet guy is.

He's standoff-ish and sometimes full on frustrating to work with when he gets too in his head and goes raging, tearing through demons despite your protests to not stress on injuries further.

It especially doesn't help when people give goo-goo eyes to the practical demi-god and ignore your achievements when fighting.

But when you have to drag him back after a particularly nasty fight, he seems... grateful. Doesn't fight you off this time, either.

Patching him up takes time, and you two get to talking. Turns out this tall guy that people kiss the feet of is actually a humble dork who likes his puns, his games, and rock music. Huh.

Turns out he's selectively mute, and has been since the death of his beloved pet Daisy a long while ago. Sh=t, no wonder.

After that, you two start hanging out more. Playing games, fixing stuff, recommending music. It's... nice, actually. And a relief for VEGA who was worried you two would tear at each other's throats one day if it ever got bad enough.
