POV: you waited the entire show to see a character appear in an outfit that only ever appears in transition cards

Seriously, when I watched as a kid I always thought Doowee would wear this workman outfit at some point but he never did. Like why make an outfit if you ain’t gonna use it

The way i see it the purpose of this outfit was to set false expectations and it WORKED

Random fun fact: Doowee is actually older than Sally (shown on French website, but I translated it w/Google lens)

"Exactly 2 hours older than Sally"

Wait WHAT?!

That's actually crazy, so according to this they would have the same birthday???

I never really thought about who's older, but I would've thought Sally cuz she had a birthday episode and got to turn 13 while Doowee... never did 😔 Also I would've bet she was older by at least a month, not literal hours 😭

And poor Doowee, sure he got to be older than Sally but he also got roasted for his love of (watching) rugby lol

EDIT: You sent me running to the birthday episode, and funnily enough it's the exact opposite case from the website -- in the opening scene of that episode, when Doowee is playing dumb not knowing it's Sally's birthday and she's trying to hint him into it, she goes "I guess all that happened today was we all got a little older... some of us more than others," implying she's the older one. So the website might not be entirely canon to what went on in the show but still wild regardless

Season 1, Episode 46: The Egg War

Cassie Fit Check!!!

Generally, the characters in the show are limited to one or two outfits max. Of course, this is a relatively tiny kids show on a budget TV channel that ran for two years, with 10 minute episodes. It’s not gonna be effort supreme™️ but still, a larger wardrobe for the show’s cast would be nice.

In the above image, you can see Cassie’s classic outfit. That’s what we know her to wear. A long sleeve white shirt with pink hems, denim skirt, knee high socks, pink shoes, and of course, her signature pink hair held back by a clip.

Then the next day, we see her wearing this:

Credit where it’s due— my friend @dharshie is the one that noticed this switch-up. What happened to you, Cassie? Was this a mistake? Was it intentional??

Realistically, it was a mistake of some kind. Optimistically, it’s an Easter egg. But hey! Let’s justify it. Why can’t Cassie try a new hair color, a new hair clip (if you zoom in), and a new skirt? She definitely rocks it. Perhaps her friends shot down the new fit though. That’s why we don’t see her wear it afterwards 😔

Season 1 Episode 41: Ms. Apu’s old friend

Is Sally x Doowee Inevitable?

For whatever reason the fact it’s spelled “Doowee” is making me crack up especially today

Anyways

I was watching that Christmas episode, because @fantastickoalaobservation and I were just randomly talking about how old the characters are (specifically Kevin, who is probably at the end of high school or starting college at the very oldest) and I was like yup, Doowee is an absolute sucker for Sally and he’ll realize it one day 😆

I mean, sure, Sally has her celebrity crushes, but anyone can have that, right? As young as those middle school fanatics who postered the whole school, or as old as Ms. Apu crushing on that one movie star kid, Cosmopolis is quirky like that. Everyone loves celebs.

And sure Doowee can have his type, and I’ve conspired about that myself, I’ll admit— it’s one of my longer older posts. He likes green hair I swear! But anyways…

It’s like a reoccurring theme in that episode, and it’s so funny. Every time Sally even acknowledges Bob’s existence or says “great idea” Doowee is like 😑 😒 and grumbles.

Heck, even Bob picked up on it, mocking Doowee for his jealousy. Bob has no interest in Sally obviously but Doowee can’t stand it.

The way he ended the episode as well…

“So… Bob is nice, okay, but… so am I!”

Yeah, you are, Doowee. Too nice. Grow a spine, boy. 104 episodes and you don’t ask her out in any of them 🥱

Heck, even Lee asks her out. He has guts, putting up balloons for her all over the school. But that’s another episode…

Season 1, Episode 1: Cockroach Capers

This post is possible because the official channel has published all episodes of the show!

I just wanted to talk about this first episode and how it starts the mood of fantasy from the very beginning. In the VERY FIRST EPISODE,

1. We have a high school student that can genetically modify insects.

Sally is from a wealthier family and Little Bombay is a well-off neighborhood with a well-funded school. I wouldn’t trust high schoolers with genetically modifying tools though…

2. There are cockroach race gambling dens in Cosmopolis.

We already know that this city is special, and even more so now that we know gambling is legal within its jurisdiction. It’s also know that the gambling establishment is named after its neighborhood, “Little Monkey.”

How many other high schoolers are involved in this business? Bob isn’t the only “bad” guy at school. Interesting…
