Redspot Duke - Dophla evelina

Commonly known as Redspot Duke due to the small red spot on the dorsal margin of each forewing, Dophla evelina (Nymphalidae) is a large butterfly (up to 52 mm) difficult to confuse which can be found from Sri Lanka and India to the Philippines.

Though this butterfly is generally brown in color, some specimens exhibit an amazing greenish coloration.
