Super Detailed OC questions!

17. Do they like to take photos? What do they like to take photos of? Selfies? What do they do with their photos?

Ianus *loathes* having his photo taken. He does take pictures when he has to, but only if he has to remember something, and he isn’t very good at taking pics either. He finds people who always take selfies or obsessively take pictures of their food ridiculous. Needless to say, Ianus doesn’t use any of the common extranet social media sites XD 

49. What is their most valued object? Are they sentimental? Is there something they have to take everywhere with them?

He isn’t particularly sentimental, though he does make sure that his sidearm is always kept in tip-top condition. It is a weapon he was given when he was promoted to captain, and Ianus was allowed to customize it to his heart’s content. That said, it is a very heavy pistol with a powder coated gunmetal finish and he loves it to pieces.

Other than that, he has a love-hate relationship with the large patterned rug currently hanging from the partition wall between his work space and his bed. It was a present from one of his sisters, and while Ianus doesn’t know what to do with the thing, he still appreciates the gesture.

And the last thing he’s been given that left a lasting impression is a rather valuable ceremonial dagger given to him by a new, let’s say, acquaintance, who insisted in Ianus taking it. He vowed to wear it as part of his gala uniform next time he has to go out in full regalia...

32. What do they dress like? What sorta shops do they buy clothes from? Do they wear the fashion that they like? What do they wear to sleep? Do they wear makeup? What’s their hair like?

When he doesn’t have to wear those dreaded grey fatigues he hates so much (according to him, the colours clash too much with his coloration), Leucen likes his clothes flashy and often skin tight - typical teenager fashion so to say. While he is insecure and hates attracting any sort of attention, he still wants to look handsome and sexy, which, on occasion, puts him into awkward situations.

He sleeps naked as most turians do when not in mixed species environments. As for makeup, he hasn’t really used makeup apart from some particular oils to shine up his plates… maybe he should experiment more in the future? 

38. What do they admire in others? What talents do they wish they had?

For Jane and Kieran:

Jane admires people who have a clear dream or ambition in life. She lives her life one day to the other without a clue of what she really wants. She wishes she was more sociable and could enjoy life more in general.

Kieran admires anyone steadfast enough to stand up for their own ideals and wishes, and will always feel bad about himself not being able to. He’s not particularly good at repairing stuff and wishes he had a talent for fixing broken household appliances.

Hello!!! An oc drabble doohickeyness for the captain! Something siomple, something cute, but something he hasn't done in...well most likely ever! But doing something like "sending a racy picture" or recording a vid of getting himself off. For whom? But of course a certain captain that he met during Memorial day! One who's always pressing against boundaries, yet always ready to fall back should it be met with too much resistance!

Well look at me rising from my writing hiatus to deliver you a wee little something. Hope you’ll like ;)

Ianus was pacing his cabin.

This was ridiculous! He had no trouble issuing orders, and neither had he trouble following them if they came from someone higher up. But this… he stared down at his omni-tool. It wasn‘t too long ago he‘d spent two very enjoyable days during Memorial Day festivities with a new acquaintance, and ever since, he hadn‘t felt the same. 

Ianus was known for one night stands (a fact he took pride in) and not for something more durable. The fact that he was left smitten after being inseparable for two days was unnerving somehow. Feeling dependent, and his body almost throwing a tantrum that it wanted that one and nobody else were things Ianus hadn‘t experienced in ages. Decades, even. 

The message itself was unassuming. 

How about a photo? it said, and included a picture of the sender, in an… uhm… rather suggestive pose.

So apparently he was supposed to reciprocate? But how? 

Hm. 

Ianus paced on. Three steps from the bed to his workstation, turn, past his armour rack to the door, and back to the bed. 

Hm.

If he angled the screen of his workstation right, and moved the partition wall, he might be able to take one lying on the bed. Was that too cheap looking? Or should he rather sit at his desk, as if he was typing reports, and maybe sneak a hand into his uniform? Would that be more appropriate for him? No… he’d feel bad working there afterwards.

Ianus paced on.

Damn his fixation on one-night stands! Only because he didn‘t want to deal with the emotional investment of proper relationships! He’d been running from the mere idea of commitment, like a total coward. Yet even before, he never dealt with courting rituals much, and was regretting it sorely. 

Ah well. Ianus sighed, and got over his pride.He wasn’t someone who was good at sending racy pictures, but the effort counted.

He moved the partition, arranged his cushions in a pleasant manner, and made himself comfortable on the bed. Some angry rustling later, he unbuttoned his uniform jacket. The undershirt followed.

Maybe, naked was better. 

But that felt wrong somehow, without anything on. Too vulnerable.

Hm.

In the end, he kept his field cap on.

Yo! Can I have one private valentine snippet with Orion =D A repay for the little "sick day" I made with Valentine for ya =D

Aaah there ya go Mr.Kage! Hope you’ll like it!

(for everyone: Yes I seem to have acquired more OCs. No idea where they came from. No, I haven’t written about them yet. No, I don’t think I’ll ever get around to it. They multiply like rabbits I tell you! *cough* in any case, Orion is an engineering student and is leader to his university’s team of clawball players. Please don’t ask me about them. Or do ask me, and I’ll cry and tell you about them)

Orion tackled everything he did meticulously, be it studying for finals, training for the game, or tending to his social obligations. Everything was added to a detailed to-do list and organized according to priority. And while at any other time, he would always prioritize school and clawball practice over leisure activities, there were more pressing matters right now.

He glanced down at his list. Buy snacks and drinks, get a headstart on reading for next term, research what fatigued humans needed to get better, and most importantly, find out what Valentine’s Day was about. He didn’t spend that much time around humans, but had heard of that holiday in passing. Given he had met someone new some time ago, it was worth a shot to impress his new favourite person now that said day was approaching.

Now, what to wear. Did Valentine’s have a dress code? With a sigh, Orion opened his wardrobe in search for appropriate attire. He wasn’t overly big on clothes, though he did like to look sharp - and if he was to be honest with himself, where he was headed, he wouldn’t keep his clothes on for too long anyway… unless tired humans were advised to rest and should not partake in, well, more rigorous activities. In the end, he chose one of his team’s varsity shirts and combined it with loose fitting wrap around pants. Casual was never wrong. 

Researching Valentine‘s Day on the extranet took longer than he planned due to all the confusing information he found. Heart-shaped chocolates? Why would humans find confectionery in the shape of a vital organ romantic!? And what was supposed to be romantic about the colour red? Blue was far more sensual after all.

Closing his omni-tool, he was left with a lingering feeling that he was supposed to magically find out what his partner liked and then overwhelm them with stereotyped presents to emphasize the love. Being the meticulous and correct person that he was, Orion chose a few levo snacks at the store, and left it at that. He wasn’t going to take a chance of doing something wrong. After all, he could always do it right next year - and with a flutter of his heart, Orion very much hoped there would be a next yea to celebrate.

The walk from the station to the apartment blocks only took a couple of minutes, during which Orion rehearsed his arrival. His hands were shaking by the time he fed the door code for the first time, though he suppressed it as well as he could. This was a routine visit with a friend, supposed to be easier than playing the clawball final, or sitting through an hour-long oral exam. And yet… Orion caught himself purring in anticipation, his mandibles flaring in a smile. Trust meant giving each other the door code, and being able to visit unannounced. He hadn’t felt this way in, oh, a long time. Was this was Valentine’s Day was about?

The apartment was silent when he entered. Probably at the computer, as always. Rounding the corner, Orion opened his mouth for a greeting, only to see Kage asleep on the couch with a blanket tucked up under his chin. A half-filled cup and a couple of empty wrappers lay on the table. Apparently he‘d fallen asleep while watching a vid.

Well, he had nothing else planned for today, so he might as well wait. And maybe get a headstart on his homework. Orion smiled to himself, and closed the door, lest the volume of his purr would wake his favourite human.

☆ for Captain Ianus "The Daddy" Etherian, Can I have one or two for Leucen? aand..Lessee! The quartermaster Vi needs a star too!! So hit me buttercup!

For every “★” I get, I will post a fact about my characters.

Vi:

It’s mostly thanks to her grandfather that Vi learned to cook. Both of her parents aren’t big cooking geniuses, and being busy with their jobs they never cooked lots at home. Little Vi grew up mostly with her Gramps, who used to have a restaurant back home before he moved to the Citadel with his daughter. From early on, he taught her how to cook, and was of course elated to see his little one being such a natural at combining spices!

Ianus:

Ianus has exactly one set of civvies at the far back of his wardrobe (to most of his crew, it’s a rumour he even possesses civvies), and the only personal piece he displays in his cabin is a large woven rug in geometric patterns that he got from one of his younger sisters who both believe that he ‘needs to loosen up a bit’. 

Obviously Ianus pouted for a day after getting the rug, and will deny any attachment to it, but he keeps it draped over the partition wall between his bed and his workstation in his cabin, and makes sure it never hangs askew. 

...do not ask him about the rug.

So… one fun, one racy for Leucen?

Leucen used to sleep with a stuffed animal when he was younger, and he kept it until it fell apart. He still has it, but of course never showed it to anyone on the cruiser for fear of being ridiculed. Instead, he likes to sleep hugging a cushion, and can get clingy when sleeping with someone else in the same bed.

He’s never looked into bondage and similar practices before, but ever since his lover has hinted at wanting to try certain things, he got quite curious, and his extranet searches have gone in a certain direction ;)

Sooo... when I passed on the question, Orion said he’ll get back to you asap and he’s sorry for being so absent lately. I think he’s busy with finals. The Cap’n growled at me and then left in a hurry, and obviously Leucen squeaked and hid behind his omni-tool. Guess the greeters will all get a reply shortly ;)
