♤ He'll call you by their name sometimes. Most of the time, it is an accident, other times, he is testing you, just to see if he sees any recognition in your eyes.

♤ His oppressive actions are hidden under so much desperation and sweetness that you hardly notice a lot of the time, especially at first. Every now and again, you even feel bad for doubting him.

♤ He slowly begins to notice all your differences to his beloved of past. It breaks the poor man in two, for a second time. He spends hours either sobbing or seething depending on the circumstances.
♤ You get chained up nightly. You get chained up throughout the day fairly often as well. He just won't let you go. Maybe he can't. Who knows? I doubt even he does.
♤ The rest of his court, noticing his behavior, begin to spend much more time with you, out of pity perhaps. He doesn't like this too much and bars them from visiting often unless you beg.
♤ Their pity hurts. Sometimes the rest of the court denies that they pity you, but you know.
♤ You'll love him and only him. He'll make sure of it. You won't know much else but him after a while. Embrace it! He promises all of this hurts him so. He promises he'll let you free as long as you stay. It'll just be so much easier if you come quietly! Please? Look at all he's willing to do for you!
♤ He's showered you in constant gifts and affection and care. Not the kind that makes your heart leap, no. It is the kind that leaves you feeling watched, trapped.
♤ You're kept like a bird in a guilded cage.
♤ He believes this is best for you, for him, for the kingdom. The kingdom needs a queen, doesn't it?
