Absolutely! There is a lot of angst material for this rather unhinged orca, so be prepared. I am going to go in more of a possessive yandere direction, so if that makes anybody uncomfortable or may trigger someone, you're free to look at anything else on my page or just move on.

♤ You remind him so much of his late queen. So much so... you are going to be his next queen! Of course!
♤ You are made to wear the style of clothing they wore, eat the food they liked. Why wouldn't you like it? Come now, he did all of this just for you. Why be ungrateful?
♤ He'll call you by their name sometimes. Most of the time, it is an accident, other times, he is testing you, just to see if he sees any recognition in your eyes.
♤ Why can't you just be them? You're his beloved, sure, but you're not them. You never will be. You have to be.
He'll make you be.
♤ His oppressive actions are hidden under so much desperation and sweetness that you hardly notice a lot of the time, especially at first. Every now and again, you even feel bad for doubting him.
That's what he wants.
♤ He slowly begins to notice all your differences to his beloved of past. It breaks the poor man in two, for a second time. He spends hours either sobbing or seething depending on the circumstances.
♤ You get chained up nightly. You get chained up throughout the day fairly often as well. He just won't let you go. Maybe he can't. Who knows? I doubt even he does.
♤ The rest of his court, noticing his behavior, begin to spend much more time with you, out of pity perhaps. He doesn't like this too much and bars them from visiting often unless you beg.
♤ Their pity hurts. Sometimes the rest of the court denies that they pity you, but you know.
♤ You'll love him and only him. He'll make sure of it. You won't know much else but him after a while. Embrace it! He promises all of this hurts him so. He promises he'll let you free as long as you stay. It'll just be so much easier if you come quietly! Please? Look at all he's willing to do for you!
♤ He's showered you in constant gifts and affection and care. Not the kind that makes your heart leap, no. It is the kind that leaves you feeling watched, trapped.
♤ You're kept like a bird in a guilded cage.
♤ He believes this is best for you, for him, for the kingdom. The kingdom needs a queen, doesn't it?

was trying to get into Cyber Force recently. I was inspired by flipping through COPRA again, a series from Image that I got into some years back while looking to complete my Shade, the Changing Man/Girl/Woman collection, and was reminded of its existence as a "Not X-Men For Legal Reasons" in a similar way that COPRA is just Suicide Squad with the serial numbers filed off. So I figured why not. But when I actually sat down to get to it, I found the task a bit more daunting and less appealing than imagined.
When I got into the Valiant stuff last year, it's not like the sum total to read through was small by any means, but there was, like, a finite amount of it. Each era of the imprint was/is/remains pretty self-contained, and there's a finite amount of it. Even now in the Valiant Beyond era with publishing from Alien Books, they're putting out at most four titles a month, and often not even that, so it's been fairly easy to keep up with since getting through the backlog.
Yeah, there was for sure the upkeep of figuring out what things were part of the shared universe during any given era, with stuff they'd licensed like Solar Man of the Atom, Turok, or Magnus Robot Fighter cycling in and out, as they all predated Valiant and have since moved on to other licencees and publishers, which can make things a little awkward, admittedly, when stuff like Rai effectively started as a Magnus spinoff, but overall it was just a matter of working my way through the checklist.
Cyber Force, on the Other Hand... so I started on Wikipedia and saw that there's been like 5 runs of Cyber Force and none of them went super long, and that the last one was in 2018 or so. I thought I'd have a few hundred comics to read through, tops, including various miniseries and spinoffs. No worse than when I sat down to read through all the Ultimate Marvel stuff the other year, yeh?
Well, as it turns out, no. Because Cyber Force shares a universe with Aphrodite IX. And Witchblade. And by extension The Darkness, Angelus, and all the other Witchblade-related titles. And all of these things, Cyberforce included, frequently cross over. And while Cyber Force may have been the impetus/debut behind the Top Cow imprint in the first place... Witchblade is by far the most popular and prevalent title in its stable. And as such, a lot of stuff in the shared universe begins to revolve around her. Holy artifacts. Heaven and hell. Angels and Demons... man I just wanted to read off-brand X-Men! So while I found the core cast of characters appealing with nice designs (outside of the reboot run in the early Aughts, where they made everyone muddy gray with tarnished gold bits) the short run lengths that give way to grander storylines that star Aphrodite or Witchblade or whoever and have to do with grand divine wars and such just... idk, wasn't what I was looking for.
All that being said, I might still grab a physical copy of The Complete Cyber Force Omnibus Volume 1 (and Volume 2 when it comes out later in the year).
