Amelia caught up with the other witch between lessons today, approaching Dorcas with what she hoped was an approachable smile. She was attempting to get to know her club members. “Hey,” she started, then held out the flyers she’d been holding, “could you put these up in your common? Meadowes, right?”

Ludovic stared down at his playbook, occasionally using his quill to mark out one of the x’s or to move one of the o’s. They had months before their game against Slytherin, but Ludo refused to waste the time. He had to fix what had went wrong or he would never be able to show his face again. He’d been at this for more than an hour already, and there was a pile of smoked cigarettes on the ground next to him. Quidditch was about the only thing he would ever put this much effort towards. So distracted was he that he didn’t notice the arrival of Dorcas Meadowes, too engrossed in his work.
