10. What do you like most about your art?
ive come to like the way i draw faces and expressions (which is definitely what i do the most, i have an obscene number of sketches that are just heads which is just a lil yikes.) but anyway i always have fun drawing and exaggerating different expressions!
11. What do you like least about your art?
my anatomy is still pretty stiff at times, and im rarely satisfied with how i color things, especially when im drawing digitally. ive been trying to look at more color theory stuff, but im just real bad at pickin colors that look cohesive and good together!
18. What is your purpose for drawing?
i’m one of those kids whose been doing some kind of drawing as long as i can remember, just because it was a fun kid thing to do and i liked it i suppose? ive always loved to create things, and make up stories, and i feel like visual art is the best way for me to tell those stories and make those characters, and i hope other people can enjoy them someday too. its always so cool to see people react to and interpret things/characters they like. its what i hope to do professionally as well. so i guess to sum up i draw largely for my own enjoyment, but also in the hopes that others can have fun with it too!
21. Do you believe there is such thing as “bad art?”
mmm it could absolutely be argued that there are certain things that make a drawing “better” (more accurate, stylistically pleasing, etc) but at the end of the day art is subjective, and everybody is gonna have a different opinion. i dont think a drawing could be categorized as just “bad art” either, because there’ll be strengths and weaknesses, and to someone else it might look real good! i think there was another thing i was going to say but i super forgot it, and i’ve rambled enough in this ask post.
thanks for the questions emily, these were neat!! :)
