Dork Files: Entry 1

I have decided that when I’m given instructions that include “to the left” or “to the right” the only proper response is “take it back now ya’ll.” No other context is given. People either get it or they don’t. I take delight in either scenario.

The capital of Michigan

Me: *in the middle of something and concentrating on it* The boy: What's the capital of Michigan? [note: he asks us these kinds of questions that he already knows the answers to in order to test us all the time.] Me: I'm sorry. I can't remember right this second. The boy: It's Lansing. Me: Oh, that's right. The boy: Just kidding. It's M. Me: *dies laughing because I'm a dork and find my child hilarious*
