Hi! I'm pretty new to DMO and don't really know that much, so I wondered about two things. Where can you get Digimon Archive expansions and can you change your Digimon's name? I'm in Western Village currently if that helps. Thank you!

Yes, you can change your Digimon’s name. You need an item from the cash shop that is called Change Digimon Name. It costs 5 crown. Sometimes, people sell them in their shops as well. 

Archive expansions are rarely used in events. Normally, archive are a cash shop only thing. Tamers will sell them in their shops as well. Sometimes, they can use used in the item maker too at DATS Center. This month has pretty crappy items, but wait until next month and check. Finally, I believe it’s one of the red coin items as well. After each update, check your reward/gift box (the little bag icon at the bottom right of your screen). There are pink/red coins you get. There is a NPC at Dats Center who will trade you items for your coins. I am saving 1000 myself to get the permanent digi-aura :p
