Get to know Earth 2's biggest guild: Dorkslayer (Q&A)

I want to write about more guilds and megacities. If you want to know more about another one, please let me know which in the comments. Without further ado, here’s the full and very insightful Q&A thanks to BritishGuy!
The crazy name actually is very relevant to the metaverse. For anyone that has watched the movie “Ready Player One” by Ernest Cline Must have surely gone on to read the sequel “Ready Player Two” Dorkslayer is a reference to the most powerful object (in the books case a Sword) which is the only thing capable of taking back control over the evil AI system. Earth 2 and our Guild formed right at the same time that I was reading this book and searching for the right name to call our selves. It was just outside the box enough to get people to question it and yet then find the greater meaning.
Q2: Where are you located?
As a group we were pretty OG to the game. We set up as a guild on about the 12th December 2020. Obviously for any decent MMRPG game you need to set up some type of Hierarchy or leadership. We did this by finding a few loyal people and having an epic PURGE of players who did not follow the rules. As a group we were and still are open to everyone. There were a few power struggles at the start but they were soon put to bed.
If you go to the map one of the first tasks to find who were going to be the leaders of this new group was to find people who could follow basic instructions before we revealed quite where our main base was going to be formed. If you go to the map and type in “Poland” you will see a small cluster of Gibraltar flags. This was a forming of the original group. Some people have stepped away from the group since then and so they flags are no longer GIB but you can see the majority of players stuck with the Guild which I think is pretty cool.
After we had a select few people who could follow instruction we launched our march from Malta where we were testing out the game mechanics on into Gibraltar where we bought out the entire land mass of the country in about 24 hours. It was pretty epic and the first of its type. Many people have since set up Mega cities. We are still the only Guild to boast a Mega country. Q3: How many tiles do players own?
If you go to the leader board and look for how many tiles are owned by people flying out banner flag you can see that we are 12th on the global leader board with over 1,211,000 titles owned by us. Other country flags of course will own more tiles but I still belive as a core unit we hold the most as an active guild.
Q4: How many players are there?
This is hard to tell. Our discord has over 650 members and our FB group has over 3500. I wish I had a firm number of how many people fly the Gibraltar flag in game but I don’t think there is a way to tell yet.
The most important thing to remember with DORKSLAYER is that we are the gaming guild. We are here for fun. We don’t shill the project as a get rich quick game as that is not the type of economy we want to put forward. It’s not the way to create a healthy economy inside a game. We are the generation of gamers who were brought up on Runescape, Diablo, WOW etc we know guilds and gaming and most importantly how to trade. We are the trading nation of E2. Even if Gibraltar turns out to not have that many resources our players own in pretty much every major city in game we will pool all resources back to Gibraltar to make it the most over the top place in game. We have the benefit of economy of scale. Not to mention we also hold a nice share of blue dots. Which we shared with all the players. We believe in everyone playing on the same level playing field. We like to make sure people are not taking advantage of any exploit or if we can’t help patch it or fix it at least give it to everyone so all are on the same playing field.

Q6: How to become a member?
This is the easiest part. 1. Fly the Gibraltar flag in game 2. Add dorkslayer to your ingame name. 3. Buy a couple of cheap sea tiles in Gibraltar so that you have a place to call home when we start to build. Congratulations you are now a member of DORKSLAYER.

We have a few different people who are interested in different aspects of the promised game. Some like what Drone will become and so we have a dedicated channel in discord for training and competitions there. Some like the crypto aspect and while E2 is based on FIAT we know it will go to the Polygon blockchain. Many people have no idea about crypto so we have a channel based around helping to teach people how to make transactions and onchaing them. Obviously E2 and trading is a huge part of our guild so we have many trading conversations ongoing and im sure things will only grow as we are able to do and build more. For a group our size its hard to say if everyone will agree. We have said time and time again that we want to work with everyone and that everyone is welcome to join us. We have at the time of writing this E$946,985.66 credits spent under our Gibraltar flag so I’m going to go with we are powerful should we need it. Anyone that wants to join an alliance in one way or another is more than welcome. We have suggested a friends of dorkslayer tag line for this or maybe a new graphic they can incorporate into their flag so we know they are under our protection and open to trade. Anyone found not to have something like this on their profile is at the end of the day open for attack. It seems the most simple way.
We have a few links you can take a look around. Our main one at the moment is based around our DAO as many people will remember we broke the community when I last tried to show case how NFTs could work. I ended up trading one for $5 as a proof of concept and let me tell you they came out after my blood. We continued developing and are of course still here.
We stealth launched our DAO we did not want to Shill it or over promise but wanted to play with it. So we used it as a way to crowd fund for our loot box there is a medium article you can read more about this and join us if you want. Over 25% of our collection has sold out and the second essence is linked to the blockchain we will sell out 100% of the collection. We raised over $5000 so far and bought some diamond and platinum land is other metaverses for our Guild.

Q10 : Is it the biggest guild on E2?
I would say not only are we the largest Guild but we are also the oldest forming back on the 12th December 2020 we really were one of the first to set up a home base and organise ourselves as a group of people online for the game.
Q11: Who’s the leader(s?)
There is a core group that chat and share info down the channels. BritishGuy — GrandMaster — Tellus — E2NWO — Krepo — VR7 — Unity — Money_Matters are just some of the names you will be most familiar with over on discord. There are many others and i’m grateful for all their support. They all help to keep the nearly 4000 members informed and in check. Resin was late to the party but is also a great aid haha. I won’t Doxx real names as this is web 3 and the metaverse afterall. Wait and keep an eye on the website if your keen to see all the ppl.
Q12: Why be a member / Perks / Useful resources
We originally set up the guild with a in game bank based on our referral code all funds were then split out to our core group to help build Gibraltar. Again most people called it a scam and did not understand what it was being offered to them. Only a certain type of mind set really got it and those are the people I like to surround myself with. People who believe that we can do stuff and trust someone on the other side of the world. The guild bank has paid out thousands into guild. Since land purchases has slowed we have turned it into the residual income for the DAO token and are able to fun give aways with the NFTS funded by this. The great thing with our DAO is unlike other collections people tried to launch around E2 our collection holds intrinsic value. We did not just withdraw the money and go down the pub. Instead we said anyone who owns an NFT owns a % share of the loot chest equal to the amount of nfts you own out of the 1066 collection so far 268 have sold. I belive within the Loot chest we have 0.5 $leash locked and the 2 parcels of land we own are probably worth about 2 ETH now along with a nice land parcel in Gibraltar. Being apart of dorkslayer is not about financial gain. It is for the education that you yourself can then put to use. Plus its just fun right !!
Gibraltar class 1 land New land value E$2.86 most would never sell Gibraltar land as its gold dust in E2 but when they do you they typically trade for anywhere from $8 per tile for large plots upto even $20 for a single land tile. No other area on the map trades like this. Even at these prices today that is still 600% above market value. Remember most class 1 was sold out for $0.21–$0.24 so todays increase is nearly 4000% on those prices. As a % increase I challenge anyone to show me a country with this trading history. Not a single sale such as a famous land mark.
