make sure all your plug ins like java and flash are up to date. i used to have the same problem, and then something updated and they started working again

omg i was actually using some plugin to make websites load faster that deactivates most scripts etc and i just turned it off. i guess it'll fix it let me tryyyyyyyyyyyy

and yes, it works again. god i'm stupid
