@lastxdragon come get your niece. Not sure if there are any Rhaegars or Elias who follow me, but come get your daughter. She’s makin’ moves on Finn.
Finn: ... I want them all. Right now.
Tavi. Tavi. You’re doing that thing again.
╳ [Rhaenys]
Soft flakes of snow began to sprinkle the terrain around them. The Night King laid among his undead army, slain in the heat of battle by the King in the North himself. Victory was the reward for those of the living who came together and destroy the threat of the Night King and his White Walkers. Although victory was to be had, there were those who would not be able to enjoy it. There were those who had fallen, and those who would soon leave the world.
King Finn Blackfyre laid among those who fought valiantly, looking up at the night sky as the snow fell around him. He could barely make out his name floating upon the winds. He tried to turn his toward where he the sound was coming from, but he was too weak -- life leaving him more and more by the second. Although he was sure it was due to the blood loss that he was suffering from at the moment it had felt like an eternity before he held a pair of hands take hold of him and propping him up. It took a lot of effort for his eyes to focus but he would soon be able to make out the face of Rhaenys. He was barely able to make what she was saying to him but it didn’t really matter at this point.
With all of the strength he could he raised a hand and brought it to Rhaenys’ cheek. “Are they all gone?” He asked. Once Rhaenys confirmed their enemies were gone he gave her a weak smile. “Good.” He replied. “Give me your hand.” He requested, pulling the hand that had been against her cheek and bringing it down between them. He would close his hand around Rhaenys when she took his, and he looked into her eyes as best as he could.
“I want you to make a promise to me,” He told her. He turned his head and coughed, blood splattering against the ground. He turned his sight to focus upon Rhaenys’ face again. “I want you... to promise me that... you’ll take care of your aunt for me. Dany has been through so much, and she’s going to need you now more than anything,” He squeezed her hand gently. “Be there for your brother,” He added. “And most of all... make something of your life, Princess,” He instructed.
“Do not despair. For there is no need for it anymore,” He assured. “And when I see Rhaegar and Elia...” He coughed again. “I’ll tell them of the wonderful young woman you have become.” He brought his her hand to his lips and placed a soft, caring kiss upon it. “Tell Daenerys... I’m sorry.”
Finn grew limp within Rhaenys’ arms as he drew in his final breath. His eyes fixed upon the night sky and focused for as long as they could before oblivion passed before them.
Now... there was one less dragon in the world.
