so I was thinking that my this years october challenge would be finishing up all my wips from last years drhdrtober and dorotober prompt lists and some folks on Twitter were really interested in doing the prompt lists as well, since they didn’t participate last year. And since I think there is no crime in using last years prompts I invite yall too to drhdrtober/dorotober part 2 electric boogaloo

Dorotober, Oct 1, Nikaido & Kaiman

Ni another word for two. Kai another word/counter for the number of times to do something or in existence. ikkai = once, nikai = twice. Do(h) a counter. Also, the second time. Twice more. The second coming. The second thing. Ni-Kai-Do.

Ai is Kai is Kaiman is Coleman is the Holeman is the caiman in the Hole, man. Aikawa, the river of love, but no, of meeting. Holey, Holy, holy mother of goddd or Chidaruma. How about Ni-Kai-Do. The second, the fourth, the some kind of coming? 

Aikawa (会川) is a river, but not of love, but of meeting, although he’s very loving. Kai (壊)is the embodiment of destruction. Ai Coleman doesn’t seem to have a kanji. Is it one of meeting or one where love (Ai—愛) meets (Ai—会), meets the death-riddled waters and river (川—Kawa) of the Hole to join with/create destruction (Kai—壊)?

Holey exists and comes from the lake but the water sludges its way along from somewhere.

Maybe Ni-Kai-Do (ニカイドウ) is the way to a second chance once all the embodiments of Ai, Aikawa, Kai, Kaiman, have been sliced off. But not only for him, but her as well.

This was going to be a fanfic drabble, but turned into a mini-meta. If Ai Coleman has a kanji (or a kana), let me know.

Yeah, it’s a bit confusing, and a bit of a hybrid bit of writing. I might return to it to tidy it up later. But great manga for Hallowe’en! Prompt list from here, provided by  @jibabys​ .
