There’s still hours before sunrise, so Kay’s parasol is tucked safely away at home. Few people are on the street at this hour; being nocturnal has its perks sometimes.
She didn’t expect to run into anyone, especially not a familiar face. This is the guy that helped her out of the sun a few days ago!
“Hi!” She waves as she approaches, hoping she isn’t disturbing him. “We met the other day, I’m not sure if you remember. I thought I should thank you for letting me sit with you in the shade. I really appreciate it!”
