“I’m sorry,” Kristoff apologized, feeling bad for leaving the woman behind on the trail. She could have easily found her way back from that spot on her own if she just turned around and retraced their steps leading up to that point, but the woman seemed a little scatterbrained if he were being honest. Not that he would make any judgement; she seemed to be very nice and he wasn’t exactly a people-person to begin with. Her excitement over everything he pointed out along their tour through the park had an automatic cheering effect, even if she was easily distracted. And it was easy to tell when he’d lost her along the way and double back for her—because it was the first time things had fallen silent since their party had set out. “Now that I know I need to keep an extra eye on you...” he added, lightly teasing the older woman.
