Becoming a stronger person with every step...
The mindset we wake up with each day determines who we are and who we are going to be. I believe each and every person was put on this earth for a reason. Whether or not we strive to fulfill and live up to the reason is solely up to us. So if we are here in this life for a limited amount of time, then why would we not be the best we can be? We need to live up to our full potential to make this world a place that one grows and prospers in every day. When we each try and live up to our potential then we not only benefit ourselves, but the lives of our families, friends, and for all those people who will come after our time.
So you ask, how do we do this?
The answer is simple. I will break this down into a few main points.
1. We need to strive to take a step forward each and every day. Focusing on one day at a time can be essential to not getting overwhelmed. What can you do today that can better/make tomorrow easier or more successful?
2. Set a goal and have a why. Having goals keeps your mind focused on the task ahead. When goals are achieved we as humans find great success and happiness in reaching that goal. By achieving a goal it only motivates us more to set higher goals and work our way up. Goals are great, but if you do not have a WHY of why you’re doing something then a goal is useless. "People don't buy what you do, they buy why you do it." -Simon Sinek
3. Don't quit. Don't be a part of the crowd that gives up after trying at something for the first time. The best way of learning to be better at any aspect in one's life is by failing. Take your failures and study them. Learn from them and make yourself better next time.
4. Bring a positive mental attitude with you everywhere you go. This is especially hard for me personally and something I have really been focusing on each day. Why not wake up each and every morning with a smile on your face and tell yourself that today is going to be a good day. The mentality these simple mental attitudes and decisions make in your mind are game changers. I challenge you to carry around a smile with you tomorrow everywhere you go and see the difference it will have. You will find that your smile alone is creating a happier environment to be around.
