your url and general good taste makes me want to ask you if you know any good dostojevskij tv/film adaptions?
Why thank you! While I appreciate your trust in my artistic taste, I know almost nothing about Dostoevsky tv/film adaptations - I have such a strong attachment to the books that I just never had much interest in adaptations. The most that I've seen is a few brief bits of what I think was a Russian tv series adaption of the The Brothers K that @crystallllines showed me a while back, but I haven't seen nearly enough of it to speak on its quality - maybe she can tell you whether it's good or not?
And while I can't recall anyone else that I know on here vouching for the quality of a Dostoevsky screen adaptation, maybe @dostoyevsky-official or @karamazovdmitri would know? If anyone that I haven't mentioned has some recommendations and wants to chime in please do so!
Since I don't want to leave you empty-handed, one Russian literature screen adaptation that I can absolutely recommend is Sergei Bondarchuk's 1967 film series adaptation of War and Peace. The length can be pretty intimidating, but it gets as close as I could imagine to really capturing the feel of the novel. It's an incredible feat of cinema and genuinely like nothing else I've ever watched.
Between having less time to spend managing my portfolio this time around and getting wrecked on election night 2016, only to have to slowly recover part of my losses, this time I’m only betting with a total pot of $50. All to say I only have a few bucks in each of these markets, on average

Don Bacon loses his NE-02 House seat (I’ve donated to his opponent, Kara Eastman, and you should too)
Lindsay Graham holds on to his SC seat (despite the fact that I’ve donated to his opponent, Jaime Harrison, and you should too)
Thom Tillis loses his NC seat and Susan Collins loses her ME seat
Roy Cooper wins reelection as NC Governor
Kim Jong-Un is still the leader of North Korea on December 31st

chicago has been so slow to do anything, it's going to be the next new york — but by that point the rest of the country will be in flames, too
ugh yeah, pritzker only announced shelter in place yesterday, and after the fiasco that was people going out for saint patrick’s day i am expecting a massive explosion of cases here. just staying in my suburban bunker for the time being.
